This cave had been on my list since @pang_bang posted it forever ago. This past weekend @destinationdame came up to meet @courtneylwilson and I for some adventures. We had planned on doing this ridiculous hard hike, but after I got sick we decided it would be best to do something a little easier. After a few wrong turns and a bit of confusion we finally found this spot just in time for the sky to light up the rocks with a magical glow. You can’t see it here but the sky was absolutely insane that night, one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen in Arizona. This state just amazes me more and more each day, so blessed to call it home. Instagram crop took out my shoes but I guess there’s bigger problems in the world. This holiday szn I’m trying to be super intentional with my gift giving! The holidays are a huge time for waste, BUT there’s so many fun sustainable gift ideas that will help the environment and please your loved ones! Keep a look out on this page bc in the next few weeks I’ll be giving away my favorite sustainable products :-). Heading to Vegas this Wednesday with the kid I nanny for her 10th birthday (yeah I know it’s kinda weird for me too,) so not really planning on getting great content however I am planning to read like 1000 books and get caught up on a ton of stuff! Did some MAJOR grubbing at @pitajungle the other day. For those of you who don’t know I live a 80-90% plant based lifestyle (so basically I’m vegan.) Lots of times the vegan options at restaurants are salads or some sort of mixed vegetables, but like unfortunately I’m not a rabbit so I don’t just want lettuce and vegetables!!!! Pita Jungle has a specific menu just for vegan customers, and it has some of the yummiest things on it. I got the falafel wrap (vegan) and then the Mediterranean platter (vegetarian) it was the perfect call for a nice AZ fall day. For so much of my life I have let people walk all over me. It’s somewhat surprising when I realize that because I always like to think I’m this strong person who asserts themselves, but it’s true. ⁣ ⁣ For me, love is my blindside. My fatal flaw. My Achilles heel. In work and other areas of my life I am that person. I assert what I want, I don’t let people coax me into doing something I don’t think is right, and I definitely don’t let people walk all over me. But when I love it’s different, and I don’t know quite how to fix it. When I love people, I always let their flaws drop. When I love people, I always love too much and trust too much and honestly….it’s super hard for me to ever quit. Not like it’s a flex😂 but I don’t cheat on people, I’m usually as honest and transparent as I can be about my feelings, and I really try to not hurt other people. The problem is that not everyone has that mentality, not everyone cares about you or your feelings. So I’ll spare the details, but I really really really hope this year is the year I can leave toxic relationships behind me and not look back at them. Writing this because I know without asking other people are in these same boats whether it’s with romantic relationships, friendships, or family. Spent some time in one of my favorite places this weekend – Joshua Tree! Got blessed with a freaking incredible sunrise (swipe to the end) honestly couldn’t have asked for a better weekend! ⁣ ⁣ As I’ve spoken on before, I have terrible anxiety and a dash or two of depression. The way my mind works, I’m more often than not what I like to call a “catastroph-izer,” what I mean is that I will take small insignificant problems and become so obsessed and overwhelmed with them that they become huge to me. I’ve learned that finding good in my every day helps me balance my mind, and realize life isn’t so bad sometimes. Simple things like sunrises, palm trees, quiet mornings, hot tea, sunsets, and star lit skies are now something I get excited for every day. Literally on my worst days sometimes the only thing that gets me through is seeing the silhouette of the palm trees against the gradient of a sunset. I think finding a little bit of good in the every day can really keep you grounded🦋 #gorjanaambassador #livelovelayer

Enjoyed a much needed break for my birthday yesterday and now I want to talk about something that's always affected me. How do you feel about taking up space? I used to find myself always trying to be small. I didn't want to ask questions, I didn't want to share my ideas, and I didn't want to give input. Why? Fear. I was so worried I would just be taking up space that wasn't mine to take. In the past I let my mind be riddled with competition, I felt like I always needed to be doing more because everyone else was doing "better." Now, I stay in competition with myself. I focus on being better than who I was yesterday, and I TAKE UP SPACE. I let my voice be heard, and I manifest my own destinies! You are the only person who can determine your success, you can chose to sit back and watch others live the life you want or you can take your rightful claim, and make your successes happen.

Changing up my feed a lil bit since falling in love with the PNW this weekend. If you saw my stories I was talking about how every new place I visit makes me learn something new. This trip just made me realize like…I am so freaking happy to be me and I'm so happy to be a woman. Although women are becoming a huge part of the hiking community, we're still constantly doubted in our abilities. I find myself even doubting my own abilities as a woman! But like this weekend… all I can say is DAMN I'm so lucky to have such a supportive circle of women to admire and grow with. Bring people in your life that love your weirdness, and support your passions no matter how crazy and obscure they may be. I felt guilty just for being myself for so long because I had surrounded myself with the wrong people. We are basically flowers-to survive we must put ourselves into a loving, and nourishing environment if we want to fully bloom. LOVE YA PPL HAPPY MONDAY.
